Go through the chapter or chapters and take notes on the concepts. This'll help you make sure you understand the concepts and also give you a quick study guide you can review the morning of the test. Also, if there are any problems in the book that you haven't done yet, do them!
a good way to study is to go over some problems and see if u have the matieral down
I agree with Justin. Math is simple if you understand the "big picture" or the overall concept as Mackenzie mentioned.

For me, it was always better to work through some problems, and if I got stuck, I would go back and look at the examples in the book and see how it was done.

Hope this works for you too.
I'd say go over all the chapters, or sections your test will be on, then do some (like 2 to 4) review problems per section, in your textbook. Maybe also have somebody sit down with you, and explain the concepts to them out loud. Time management is important too. I'd say to start reviewing/studying at least 2 days before the test.
