As I see college closer and closer, nervousness and excitement overwhelm me. Nervousness because this is going to be a new experiance which you can't say you are prepared for and excitement because I am accomplishing one of my goals. The biggest concern right now however is not being able to afford college.
im really nervous for college its a huge step that you take and its a huge change of the the comfort zone i have created with in the years im excited of being independant and being able to make my own choices in either styuding or partying or even by chossing the classes i wantn to take the poroblem is can ib afford it which makes me nervous
I'm really excited for college, but nervous for the high pace classes and such.
I am really excited about starting my own life and living on my own with friends. Even though its free, living with parents is a drag!!!!!
Hey,
well i think the biggest concert i have about college is whether the classes are hard to pass and if the standars that you have to follow are basic or advance level?
Jacob, I think you will be pleasantly surprised when you go to college. The first quarter or so is probably the roughest (mostly because of the adjustment). After that, you get in to a pretty basic routine. Plus, you are only in class for about 12-15 hours a week, much less than high school's 40+. However, the classes are at a fast pace (as you mentioned) but you have plenty of time on your own, or in study groups, to tackle your classes.
Hey Corey, I remember how excited I was when I first moved away from home to attend college. I'm sure your parents have told you this or you have heard this before but I can tell you that you will miss home a lot more than you think. Dorm food versus my mom's spaghetti and my dad's bbq are not even close to comparable. However, I will say that living on your own is a blast and you are able to make your own choices. As a word of advice it is not always the best idea to live with your close friends. Sometimes best friends make terrible roommates. Regardless, have a blast away from home and best of luck to everything you want to accomplish with your life.
All i am concerned about is the application process and the deal with the AB 540 students. And also of course how to pay for college. especially the college that i want to attend. The other thing is that i dont know if im on the right track as in taking the right classes for my career.!
I am going to love not getting
up early in the morning for class.
im most excited for the whole expierence. my roomate, the parties and starting to learn about my major. Im most nervous about the work load and getting lost
I'm excited about getting to meet new people and being in a new environment but I'm most concerned about the classes and the pace of them. I'm especially worried about tests since most of your grade is based on it
It depends a lot on where you go and what types of classes you take. They are definitely more advanced than high school classes, and professors often expect you to teach yourself most of the subject matter. Most professors and TAs are super helpful and willing to answer any questions you have, so if you're working hard outside of class and still having trouble don't hesitate to reach out to them!
