What advice would you give to other underrepresented students that would help them to be successful in going to and succeeding in a four-year college?

"The college experience is what you make of it. You can have dreams and expectations of what you want your experience to be like, but don't limit yourself to those dreams and expectations. Keep an open mind. Learn from the people around you. Adapt, but remain true to yourself, even as you begin to change and grow. Don't be afraid to want more for yourself than what others think you should be. If you do that, you won't get what you could have gotten out of college. Especially as minorities, we are not expected to know so much, understand so much. But give the system a run for their money. Make your own expectations for yourself and meet them."
