Hey, I'm Randall
I'm also a freshmen at Santa Clara High School =]
I'm planning on going to a UC school, but I haven't picked a major yet
I'm wondering about college life
Like is it the same as high school?
Except that the fact, you can live there
Oh roommates, do I have stories for you!

You definitively have a saying as to who you want to room with. It will be difficult if you have never shared a space or if you are lucky enough to get an insane extreme A.D.H.D. girl as a roommate. Just kidding. It truly will depend on you both setting ground rules from day one and respecting each other.

There are great stories of roommates who become best friends forever and those that sadly don't end up too well. I would say go random and take a chance to meet someone completely new. College is about learning and exploring, give this roommate business a try.

Good luck, keep us updated as you make your decision.
Oh my friend, it is so not high school in many ways, and THAT's what makes it even more awesome, even more adventurous.

High school is about structure. Everyone has set schedules to follow, 8-3 or whatever it is at SCHS. You probably take classes with mostly the same people all the time. Everything is set for you and not much planning is needed.

College will be more open-ended. You will most likely live away from home, but not only will you be away from parents, you will live ONLY with people your age, with your energy level, with your same thirst for new things. You pick the classes you want, you get choices, you get to explore topics that you enjoy, you get to get involved in what you feel passionate about.

Now, don't go crazy with all that freedom. College is about education, measurement, and discipline. Time management and planning will be key. Enjoy yourself, meet new people, and open your eyes to new experiences, always keeping in mind that you want to raise your intellect and give it a good use after 4 years.

Let us know what college you set your mind to.
Hello, im Vanessa, :)
