Making your college decision

Choosing the right college can be a tough choice. I know many people who chose their college because it had their major, others chose it because it was away from home, and some chose it simply because they got the best financial aid package.

We all want to go to the school that is best for us. There are many factors to consider when answering this question.

If you're a senior high school student, what is most important to you? Have you decided what school you want to go to or do you need some extra help?

If you're a current college student or recent college grad, why did you choose the school you did? What do you like most about your school and what do you wish you could change about it?

I decided to go to my University because of my major. I knew I wanted to do something with business, and my respective school had a reputation for having a top business school. Location was another major decision as to why I chose my school. I wanted to stay in Silicon Valley because that is where a lot of major companies operate.

Personally I need help with deciding. I think the main factor for me will be the financial aspect of it.

I know how you feel Erika. For me, it came down to the same factor: Financial Aid. Given that I didn't qualify for government money, my only options were scholarships. Fortunately, there are hundreds of scholarships out there, but you just have to look for them and make sure you submit them by the appropriate deadlines!

You are not the only one that is concerned about financial aid. Others like you have that same concern, but it shouldn't stop you form going to college. Things always work out one way or another :)
