great experience to party and gain new perspectives :)
I heard that college is fun and interesting because you can take the classes that you want to take. I also heard that it can be hard but i don't mind as long as i enjoy it. If college will really be engaging an interesting than i am very motivated to go.
I've heard that college is way easier than high school and that there's more freedom there. In college, you get to plan out your schedule and pick whatever classes you want to take without having much worry about certain requirements like in high school I've always wanted to go to college, but the information that I have heard about it makes me feel more at ease and more eager to go.
you get money after u graduate from it, and i need to work hard to get in a college.
:P
The information about college has varied throughout my educational career. When I was in elementary school teachers would not mention colleges or their importance. Once I started junior high school, teachers would speak about the money difference which really motivated me but not enough to pay more attention in school since it seemed so far off. Therefore, I was shocked when I came into high school because that was all I would hear. It wasn't until my freshman year that i began to learn about requirements, competition, and cost. Although those things discouraged me at first, the benefits ultimately overpowered the hardships that come along with colleges!!!
This is very true :D. I just graduated from Santa Clara University last week and I was part of a social fraternity. There are a lot of great experiences both academic (new perspectives) and social (partying). The trick is being able to balance the two.
Right on, Kelly. The best thing about college (in terms of academics) is being able to choose your own major and take your own classes. In high school, I never really liked the idea of having to take "set" classes with only a few electives offered. In college, there are hundreds of classes to choose from across many different subjects! I think you will have a great time when you make it to college.
Brianna, I actually agree with you that college is easier in high school. HOWEVER, this depends on your major and how involved you would like to become. I know that engineers and computer science majors have a lot of work on their plate, much more than high school. In terms of time, though, college is about 12 to 15 hours per week versus high school's 40+. Some classes in college have prerequisites, but as long as you take the classes required, you can pretty much attend any class. The biggest problem is overcrowding right now (especially in state schools).
you part every night!...its a great experience, and you get to meet new people...in other words its a ton of fun!
Yup, there is a lot of freedom in college. You can pick your classes and plan your own schedule. You will learn to become independent as well as responsible.
Partying is part of college and it's what makes it a full and much more richer experience. HOWEVER, someone mentioned you learn how to be responsible. This is extremely important because you will be on your own and you will be making tough decisions without having anyone tell you what's right or wrong.

When it comes to parties, you have to know how to balance your social life and your academics as well. It's not a great idea to party EVERY night. I met someone who did that their freshman year and they ended up dropping out after two quarters at Santa Clara.

Enjoy your years during college, but make sure you do everything you can to graduate! It will mean having to make some sacrifices and knowing when is a time to work, and when is a time to have fun.
