hmmmm...i think of applying to CSU Monterey, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, & UC San Diago

Great choices! I'm guessing you like the beach? :) My brother went to UCSD - he loooved it so much, he still lives there, six years after graduating. I don't know a ton about the other schools but if you have any questions about UCSD let me know.

That's a great plan, Heidi. Have you thought about shadowing a pediatrics nurse before? Or maybe volunteering at a children's hospital? It's a great way to get some experience, which will not only look good on your resume but will also help you decide if it's the right career path for you. I know Lucille Packard Children's Hospital has a really good volunteer program - check it out!

I stayed pretty close to home also - grew up in Los Altos, went to Stanford. I lived on campus all four years, which I highly recommend if you do go to school close to home. It helped me make friends and really integrate into the community. Let me know if you have any questions about Stanford or about staying close to home for college! :)

This tricks do help. The way I remeber things is write things down on a calender by my door that way when I walk out I will see it. I also use my phone because you could add reminders to make sure you dont forget.
