Are you or your siblings the first in your family to attend college?: Yes

What are the biggest challenges you faced or are facing as a high school student? How did you overcome those obstacles?: I was very shy and easily discouraged in high school and sometimes believed that I was just not smart enough. I have learned not to think that way and to just keep my head up no matter what happens.

What are your educational goals? What are you doing to reach those goals?: I want to graduate with a major in Psychology and minors in Mathematics and Urban Education and go on to work in education.

What advice would you give others to be successful in high school and college?: Surround yourself with those who are supportive of your goals so that you are always motivated.

What do you like to do for fun? (Select all that apply): Camping, Mathematics, Movies, Music, Photography, Reading, Sports, Traveling
