Hey Hector!

I want to say thanks for being a great member of Zoomz. We really appreciate your dedication!

Wanted to see if I can get your help on something. We created a survey to get feedback on the community and was hoping you could take 10 min to take it. If you complete it, we will enter you in a drawing for a $25 iTunes card.

Here it is:

3 Miles or 3000 Miles Away From Home: Where should I go to college?

Posted on March 30, 2010 at 11:47pm 1 Comment

I'm from San Jose, CA and ended up going to SCU which is about 10mins away from home. Santa Clara is a great school and I'm very proud of being a Bronco, yet at times I wished it was further away from home (actually, I wish home was away from SCU, we actually got a great location).

I sometimes envy how out-of-state people went to college to a new and completely new environment. They might come from snowy mountains or rainy forests and can add a new area to their…

Time is running out, come on, just pick one!!

If I'm not mistaken, it's about that crunching time when you MUST choose where to go to college. I myself have just about a month to pick a law school and I still have not set my heart on one yet.

First of all, if you have choices, congratz! There's no better feeling than to say you are wanted by many. If you are set already on your dream school or got admitted to the one you wanted, good for you, you saved yourself from some stressful times.

College Jobs

Posted on January 18, 2010 at 4:05am 0 Comments

A few freshman have had hard times getting jobs on campus so I figured it would be a good topic.

Jobs on campus are a great help to make some money and start networks on campus. Whether it's a work-study program or a stipend job, give some thought to what kind of job you want to have.

My first two years at SCU, I was a desk receptionist and did the regular office tasks (filing, take calls, help around the office and refill the candy jar). It was a good experience because I… Continue

College Application Tips

Posted on October 29, 2009 at 12:58pm 2 Comments

So, as I said before I'm like many of you applying to colleges, again. It reminds me of four years ago, when I was applying to undergrad. There are a lot of little details I got and learned along the way that I figured it'd be nice to share. Feel free to add any others you've heard of.

Tips on applying to college:

- Visit the schools. There's so much you gain from visiting the school, you get a feel for it, what the atmosphere is like, the cafeteria, and so much.… Continue
