What kind of member are you?: College Student

High School Education (Name of School, Graduation Year): Santa Clara University 2011, Commincations and Spanish Major

Are you or your siblings the first in your family to attend college?: No

What are the biggest challenges you faced or are facing as a high school student? How did you overcome those obstacles?: The biggest challenges that I faced as a high school student was to find what I was passionate about and create a path for myself that was different from my older siblings. My brothers were great role models but I had to find out what truely mattered to me rather than simply following what they had been passionate about. Once I found my own passions there was nothing that could stand in my way from what I was working towards.

What are your educational goals? What are you doing to reach those goals?: My goal is to graduate from college and get into either a teaching credential program or a graduate school. I know that I want to continue to educate myself and others for the rest of my life! I am working very hard in my classes and staying passionate everything that I do to keep me motivated.

What advice would you give others to be successful in high school and college?: Study what you love, study something that interests you and don't forget to give every class 100% becuase if you don't try your very best you won't be able to love the class because you will always feel stressed ouyt and behind. Remember you get what you give. Go to class, do the reading (even if it seems like nobody else is doing it) and you will learn!
