- What are the biggest challenges you faced or are facing as a high school student? How did you overcome those obstacles?
- My biggest challenge in high school was realizing that 4 years is a long time and you don't have to accomplish everything you want to at one time. Instead I had to learn to focus my activities by making goals for myself and deciding on a path toward achieving them.
- What are your educational goals? What are you doing to reach those goals?
- After graduating from UCSC I plan on obtaining a credential to teach math. I am currently completing my degree in Politics at UCSC while taking math classes to prepare for the credential program.
- What advice would you give others to be successful in high school and college?
- Your education is about you, not your parents or your teachers. It is easy to feel like you should do your work for others when really you should be doing it for yourself. Once you start thinking of high school and college as a means to improving yourself and not just work, school becomes a lot easier and more fun.
