Hey zoomz community!

As this is my first blog I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone and get myself out there!

My name is Kai Fujioka. I am a 5th year student at UC Santa Cruz studying Art and Education (and some mixture of the two). As one of the ALearn college mentors I am here to give some insight into the COLLEGE LIFE.. and anything else that seems relevant :P

I think that college can sometimes be a scary place to even think of for some students. You wonder if it's all about writing 100 page essays and sitting in 300-person lecture halls trying to hear the professor talk about boring stuff. At least that's how I saw college before I got there and I was freaking out until I actually got there. 

^that stuff is NOT what college has to be about! 

So hopefully over the next few months I can be somewhat helpful in answering some of your questions about living the college life and make it sound less intimidating or mysterious! 

First on my agenda is all about FOOD--cause everybody loves it and as a college student it is one of the most important ways to live it up!
