Hi everyone!

Well, if you've spent time on Zoomz you've probably seen me around... I'm Mackenzie, and I'm one of the main webmasters here at Zoomz.

I grew up in Los Altos, and went to Los Altos High. High school was such a busy time for me, between rigorous classes, playing water polo, swimming on the swim team, and joining the newspaper staff as a writer and then editor. I was pretty quiet and studious, especially at the beginning of high school. Some of my friends poked fun at me for loving learning and writing too much, saying another friend and I were "co-presidents of the Essay Writing Club." I tried to play along, and when I got into Stanford I was the one laughing!

At Stanford I was an English and Creative Writing major and an Italian minor. I met so many interesting people and was lucky enough to find an amazing group of friends. Some of my favorite things about my college experience: studying abroad in Florence, Italy my sophomore year; taking electives like a class on sleep and dreams and another on how our culture influences our language; starting a writing group my senior year; and, nerd that I am, the deep conversations I had in and out of class about books and writing!

I joined the Zoomz Team because college was a defining time in my life, and I believe everyone deserves to experience it for him or herself. I want to help students like you figure out your goals and achieve them!
