Well, I suppose that I have to introduce myself as well as my peers did!

My name is Montserrat (you can call me Montse) and I was born and
raised in the beautiful city Guadalajara, Mexico... that's right, the
hometown of the best soccer team in the world, CHIVAS!!

I moved to California one year ago after finishing college in Mexico.
I went to a German School all my life, which means that ALL my

subjects (the majority) were taught in German, which made my life
really hard! When I was 12 years old I started to learn English

without knowing one day I was going to live in the United States. And
here I am now, 14 years later, living in this country and working with
what I enjoy most in life: people.

My major in college was Psychology. I love to sing (although I don't
do it as often anymore), I LOVE to eat (really, I enjoy it so much,
you wouldn't believe me!) and I love watching movies. Well, I don't
want to bore you to death with my story; in sum, I've had the most
beautiful life. Of course, there have been hard times, but in the end,
those are just brief episodes meant to be lessons to learn from.

I didn't get the most motivational words before moving to the United

States. Some people thought I wasn't going to make it. That I wasn't

going to get a good job (meaning something related to my field,
psychology) and that I was just going to be completely frustrated...
But you know what? the people that I most love encouraged me to keep
on with my plans. They motivated me by giving me all their love and

supporting me in all the ways they could. I went to and finished
college and thanks to that, one year later, here I am. In a different

country, recently graduated from college, doing something that I love.

Of course I still have a long way to go. I want to continue my studies
and keep growing. I am not sure exactly which way I'm going, but my
college education gives me the tools and confidence to keep searching
for new opportunities.

Enough about me! I really look forward to meeting you all and to
contribute in any way I can to your goal of getting a college
education.

Cool, I would like to visit Germany some day. How did you like living there?
