My sophomore year was not like everyone else the reason being that this is when I had my daughter. I found out I was pregnant when I was finishing my second semester of my freshmen year. Everything was the same until the summer came. I moved in with my boyfriend’s family because my family didn’t agree with my decision. So that summer I started the new school because how I had mention before I got an F in biology and a D in English so this is when I fix my biology grade. I think this helped me a lot because I met new people before I started school so when I started the regular school year I didn’t feel like the new kid. That’s why I mention that you should go to the orientation before you start your freshmen year because it helps you make friends.

So I was in school for two months before I transferred to a continuation school. There I did independent studies because I was due in October. In regular school they only give you a month to be absent and it will be excused. If you miss more than a month you will be taken out from the school and I didn’t want to be taken out.  So I went to another school for a semester and there I only went to school once a week and did packets of homework to get credit. When I went to the continuation school I made sure it was classes that would count for my a-g requirement to graduate. I went back to the regular high school during the second semester and continue the classes I was taking in the continuation school. I was able to go back to a regular high school because my boyfriend and mother in law helped me take care of my daughter when I was in school because they knew how important it was for me to graduate from high school.

Like I have mention before I didn’t think about college before because I never had the information on how to get in but I still made sure I was in track to graduate. So even if you are not sure if you will want to go to college after your graduation just make sure you meet the a-g requirements in case you change your mind.
